Chronic Kidney Disease (4) What To Avoid
1. Avoid medications that may cause kidney damage. Review your prescriptions, over the counter drugs and herbal supplements with your doctor on a regular basis.
2. Keep yourself hydrated especially if you have illnesses such as diarrhea, nausea or fevers. Use care when exercising in hot weather. No joke—drink 4-5 glasses of water every day.
3. Avoid products that contain magnesium, which tend to increase your risk of diarrhea or vomiting.
4. Avoid x-ray tests that employ a contrast material (dye). This includes CT scans.
